For 25 years, Michele Shepherd, owner and designer, has been involved in helping decorate homes of residents in the Cedar Rapids area and in towns across Eastern Iowa. In 2001, the concept of Yours By Design began as an in-home business. As the client base grew along with the need for more and more inventory, the vision for a storefront evolved into a necessity.

The name Yours By Design speaks to the philosophy Michele has adopted. Today's consumer is much more design savvy than ever before. They know what they want or need but are looking for the right elements that will help their design style become reality. It's not about what the designer thinks is best but what the client really wants. Helping them put it all together and seeing their excitement with the finished job is what makes this business so rewarding.
